How Blobb Works

Start with enough assessment to make a sound decision

Blobb usually recommends an independent assessment before a larger project. A client often knows the symptom but cannot be expected to know every contributing cause. Looking broadly enough to identify the highest-priority needs has produced strong results in our infrastructure and mobile platform work.

That assessment does not have to be a full audit. Blobb also accepts focused requests—a review of an architecture, plan, cost model, code path, or other specific question—when that is the useful scope.

Hourly or fixed commitment

Most work is billed hourly against an agreed volume, starting at $230/h. This is usually the more flexible model: priorities and depth can change as evidence emerges. It also asks more of the client’s procurement and administration because time and budget need to be tracked.

If a client prefers budget certainty and less ongoing administration, Blobb can agree a fixed commitment. Its price is based on the time the work is estimated to require, with the scope and assumptions written down before work starts. Both structures are normal choices; the technical method and independence are the same.

Remote first, on site where it earns the trip

Blobb works remotely by default from British Columbia. On-site periods are proposed where direct observation of a team changes the result, and travel is priced separately.

A team shaped around the engagement

Engagements are led by Muriel on process, engagement structure, and how a program lands inside an organization, and by Xavier on technology, architecture, and the technical read. When client needs call for additional capacity or specialist expertise, the team is expanded accordingly.

Independent by construction

Blobb resells nothing, holds no reseller margin, and takes no commission from any vendor it might name in a finding. There is no implementation revenue waiting behind a recommendation.

Confidentiality

Client names are published only with the client’s approval. Case studies are anonymized. A mutual NDA can be in place before any material is shared. The mutual NDA and security questionnaire are available for download.
